Jury Duty is going off-site for season 2

Court is almost back in session, but this time, it won’t really look like court at all. The second season of the quickly-beloved Freevee series Jury Duty will return on Prime Video on March 20, this time titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat. The first three episodes of the series will become available that day, followed by two episodes on March 27, and a three-episode finale on April 6.

Given that the first season centered on duping Richard Gladden into thinking he was on an actual jury for a real trial, it makes sense to change scenery for the show’s second outing. Company Retreat will follow “a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company from the perspective of Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker,” according to a synopsis provided in a press release. “Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, every colleague around him is performing a role, and each moment – whether in conference rooms or during downtime – has been meticulously orchestrated. As the founder prepares to step down, the getaway transforms into a clash between big corporate ambitions and small business values, with control of the company hanging in the balance.”

Prime Video also shared a brief clip promoting the upcoming season, though the streamer is being understandably cagey about what will actually happen in it. The Hollywood Reporter confirms that James Marsden will not be in the cast this season, though he returns as an executive producer. We’ve also learned that the season was filmed in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills about a year ago. Otherwise, we’ll just have to strap in for whatever ride Anthony is about to go on.
