Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster is “Laid Low” on his new song
As the driving force in Water Liars, Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster is no stranger to crafting indie-rock songs with an Americana bent. And for Constant Stranger, out September 30 on Big Legal Mess/Fat Possum, Kinkel-Schuster leans even harder into his folk inclinations. The A.V. Club is premiering “Laid Low,” which sees Kinkel-Schuster putting his Jason Molina influence on full display. Of the song Kinkel-Schuster says, “This song is kind of my attempt to turn one of my own songs that aims at love, work, things you can choose and things you can’t, into an Everly Brothers tune. More or less.”
Constant Stranger that will be out September 30 via Big Legal Mess/Fat Possum.
