Kanye West's mind-expanding tweets are actually his philosophy book "in real time"
Over the last week, Kanye West has come roaring back into the public eye, first with an announcement that he’s writing a philosophy book called Break The Simulation that partly involves the weird artificiality of taking photographs and then with some proper brain-blowing tweets about how “some people have to work within the existing consciousness while some people can shift the consciousness.” It was the sort of weird stuff people love to see from West, and this morning he took it up another notch by revealing that his heavy tweets are his philosophy book—or “book” as he now puts it.
This was prefaced by some more high-concept tweets, including the phrase “trend is always late” and one about how he doesn’t believe in having enemies because “once you start moving in love the universe will assist you” (both of which are solid points).
West then explained that he’s writing his book “in real time” and that he won’t let a publisher tell him what to put in it or how many pages to write, adding that it’s “not a financial opportunity” but “an innate need to be expressive.”
So, yeah. Kanye West is being Kanye West
