Two musicians are suing Kendrick Lamar for allegedly stealing their music. Eric Reed and Willie Jones III say Lamar appropriated their 2010 song “The Thorn” to make background music for his 2011 track “Rigamortis.” Reed and Jones say Lamar simply raps over their track and that “’The Thorn’ isn’t merely part of ‘Rigamortis’… IT IS ‘Rigamortis.’” (Both songs are streaming below for comparison.)
