Kevin Smith is recuperating after suffering a “massive heart attack” on Sunday. The writer, director, and actor informed fans of his condition on Twitter early Monday morning, when he posted a photo of himself seemingly on the mend.
Apparently, Smith was supposed to tape a couple of stand-up shows at Glendale’s Alex Theater, but canceled the second one after falling ill. The Comic Book Men host tweeted that if he “hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight.”
Earlier today, Smith posted a more detailed account of his ordeal to Facebook, expressing relief as well as gratitude for his friends who called the ambulance.
