Kumail Nanjiani, Ilana Glazer, and more join Issa Rae for Clueless live-reading at Clusterfest
Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more stoked for Clusterfest, along comes the full cast lineup for this year’s live-readings of ’90s faves Clueless and Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion. As previously announced, the former has enlisted Insecure’s Issa Rae for the role of Cher, originated by Alicia Silverstone in Amy Heckerling’s beloved teen rom-com. Joining Rae is an amazing ensemble that includes Kumail Nanjiani as Josh, Amanda Seales as Dionne, Ilana Glazer as Tai (I’m sure she’ll do Brittany Murphy proud), and Chris Redd as Murray.
Equally exciting is the live-reading of Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion, which will be headlined by drag superstars Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova as Romy and Michele, respectively. Peaches Christ will fill the shoes of Janeane Garofalo’s Heather, with Nicole Byer playing various supporting characters and Guy Branum serving as narrator.
And the fun doesn’t stop there: As announced in March, Comedy Central and Superfly’s annual event will also feature top-tier comedic talent like John Mulaney, Chelsea Peretti, Tig Notaro, and Leslie Jones, along with podcast faves like R U Talkin’ R.E.M. RE: ME? and My Favorite Murder. Musical guests include Courtney Barnett and Japanese Breakfast—just in case you needed another reason to get tickets ASAP.

To celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of Clueless, Clusterfest will bring together five-star comedic talent to remind fans how much they miss, or lived through, the ‘90s. Whether you’re a Baldwin or a Monet, ditch the Loadies on the quad and check out Clusterfest’s Live Read of Amy Hecklering’s 1995 teen classic. The Clueless experience will come full circle with a guest musical performance from Jill Sobule singing her hit “Supermodel” from the film’s soundtrack. Miss this? As if. The cast includes:
