Lohan cast

In a rare instance of someone simply doing their job counting as news, Lindsay Lohan has been cast in a movie. Since starring in the 2007 bad movie-lover-favorite I Know Who Killed Me. Since then, Lohan has appeared on Ugly Betty in a guest-star run that lasted shorter than planned and starred in Labor Pains, which bypassed theaters to earn a coveted premiere on ABC Family. Will this be the role that turns things around? Variety has details:

Story centers on a grad student who must spend the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island. She discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret about a tragedy that took place many years before.

Sounds… vague. Lohan's co-stars include Woody Harrelson, Dave Matthews, Alanis Morissette, Giovanni Ribisi.
