Lucy Lawless is joining Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

According to TV Guide, Lawless—who is probably most recognizable as either Xena or Ron Swanson’s wife, depending on how old you are—is going to appear on S.H.I.E.L.D. as an undisclosed character, and she’ll be in an undisclosed number of episodes. So, basically, that’s it. We don’t know who she’ll be, and we don’t know how long she’s staying. Maybe it’ll be a cameo and she’ll be on-screen for five minutes. Maybe she’s the new star of the show and all of the other characters will be killed off in the season premiere. Maybe she’s She-Hulk. Maybe she’s the new female Thor everybody’s talking about, even though that wouldn’t make any sense with Man-Thor still showing up in the movies. Or maybe she’s some boring new totally original character, and that’s why Marvel won’t say who she is. We’ll either never know, or we’ll know when Marvel announces it at Comic-Con in the next few days.
