With a new record, Turkey, out on Merge, it’s high time for a new music video from Mike Krol. The A.V. Club is premiering the new clip for “La La La,” which Krol says is meant to give viewers “a sense of what it was like to be in a dicey part of Sacramento, circa March 2014, trying to make a whole record in four days.” Directed and edited by Andrew Van Dorn, the clip makes handy use of split screen technology to capture the slapdash garage rock lifestyle on screen, which Krol says “mostly consisted of leaving the studio once daily for a delicious Brisket Sandwich at Firehouse Subs.”
Krol is on tour in the states and Europe this fall, with dates below. Turkey is available for purchase over on the Merge Records site.
