Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren insist there's nothing to see here in MobLand

“We’re professionals, we get on with it,” noted Mirren, who plays steely Harrigan matriarch Maeve, adding, “We love each other, we support each other. We love the show. We want the show to be its very best.” Brosnan, whose godfather Conrad battles for control of the London underworld alongside his wife, was even more effusive about their allegedly difficult co-star, stating of the Mad Max: Fury Road actor, “I love the man. I mean, honest to God, I really, I’ve watched this fella work forever, and it’s just so captivating, spellbinding, sharp as a knife, lethal. It was a bit of a storm in a teacup.”

As for Hardy, he told the Associated Press, “There was no firing, there was no walking away and there was no arguments in that aspect. I just kept my head down and waited, carried on talking to the grown-ups, which is what we just do. So I don’t really have anything to say about that.” Which isn’t truly a denial of the reports of friction behind the MobLand scenes, but does lay to rest any thought that the Harrigan clan will have to muddle on without Hardy’s De Souza knuckling up on their behalf.
