Modest Mouse is already hard at work on a new album
Isaac Brock says Modest Mouse is already hard at work on a new record, despite the fact that the group’s latest, Strangers To Ourselves, isn’t out yet. Brock told HMV that the group is “pretty far along with the next one” and that he went into “making [Strangers] with two records in mind.” He considers the next record a “partner” to Strangers, and says “it’ll be released as quickly as it’s legally allowed to be,” probably alluding to the limits on the group’s contract with Epic Records. (If there were actual governmental limits on how often records came out, Robert Pollard and Ty Segall would have been in deep shit a long time ago.)
