NBC moves one step closer to MILF Island with new Survivor/The Bachelor hybrid
NBC has just given a green light to Love In The Wild, a reality series that combines the outsized physical challenges of Survivor with the reductive human emotions of The Bachelor, dropping two teams with complementary sex organs into exotic locales and forcing them to engage in tug-of-war contests and eat gross animal parts, until the close quarters and collective exhaustion forces them to make out from the sheer need for human contact. The show comes from Endemol, the production company behind Wipeout and Dating In The Dark, who can at least be commended for not just creating a show where people are blindfolded and punched in the face instead. Look for it next summer, where it will surely be advertised with lots of “Things are heating up” taglines—which has two meanings, you see.
