Netflix Adds Hundreds of Indie Titles to “Watch Instantly” Feature

And you thought you had your queue under control. PR Newswire has reported that Netflix members now have access to some 300 new indie titles, all of which are available for instant streaming through the computer and television.

The subscription video service has secured licensing agreements to instantly stream acclaimed films from a host of distributors, including The Criterion Collection, whose titles include A Nos Amour and Au Revoir Les Enfants. Other films now available include  the 2009 Oscar winner for Best Foreign Film Departures (Regent Releasing/Here Films), and Seraphine (Music Box Films), a 2009 biopic about self-taught French painter Seraphine Louis. Gravitas Ventures, Kino Lorber, and Oscilloscope Laboratories are among the other indie distributors tied to the deal.
