Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron First just got a release date for their big team-up event on Netflix, and even though their good friend The Punisher isn’t invited, he is still getting a Netflix series of his own later this year. We don’t know when that will happen, but Comic Book Resources is reporting that filming on the Punisher series just wrapped up, so a release date should be coming sooner rather than later. CBR got that information from a pair of Instagram posts showing Punisher stars Jon Bernthal and Ben Barnes at what looks like a wrap party:
In the past, Netflix has used the debut of one of its Marvel shows to hype up whatever the next one is, and with The Defenders premiering on August 18, it seems safe to assume that the Punisher premiere date will be revealed around then.
