New Kanye West record may be imminent
A new Kanye West solo record may be in the immediate future. Producer and Def Jam Vice President No I.D. told MTV News that West’s sixth LP should come out shortly after West's vanity label, G.O.O.D. Music, drops its new Cruel Summer compilation on Aug. 7. According to No I.D., West's next solo record is “what you expect and everything you don’t expect.” (So, all the songs are about Kim Kardashian and all the album proceeds go to charity, then?)
Earlier this week, G.O.O.D. Music released its latest single, “New God Flow,” which features Pusha T and West. So far this year, West has also put out a remix of fellow Chicagoan Chief Keef’s single “I Don’t Like,” and two other G.O.O.D. singles, “Theraflu” (which he promptly renamed “Way Too Cold”) and “Mercy.” His last solo record, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, came out in November of 2010.
