Next year's Coachella will actually be two Coachellas
You know those massive, desert-based music festivals that are, like, double massive, desert-based music festivals? Well, Coachella has just rubber-stamped its approval on one of those, announcing that for the first time ever, the 2012 iteration of its sprawling Indio soiree will take place over two consecutive weekends—“same lineup, same art, same place, different people,” according to the press release. Except, of course, for the people who pass out early in the PortaJohns and stumble out to a second chance to get it right this time. And while the now-obsolete single-weekend Coachella just wrapped up recently, it’s already time to be thinking about next year: Weekend passes go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m., only now you have a choice between going April 13 through April 15 or going April 20 to 22. Unfortunately, there’s no telling which weekend Danny DeVito will be there, so you’ll just have to take your chances. UPDATE: DeVito has now graciously agreed to attend both weekends, so you can't lose.
