Either way it’s working for him, most recently in a video for Mashable called Simply Genius Shower Thoughts With Nick Offerman. The quotes are compiled from the popular showerthoughts subreddit, devoted to users’ quotidian observations like “once you have a PhD, every meeting you go to becomes a doctor’s appointment” and “technically, we’re all half centaur.” Coming from Offerman’s mouth, these stray thoughts sound like less like rejected Deep Thoughts By Jack Handey and more like something the Buddha would say—if he gave up on vegetarianism, of course.
