Nikki Glaser to return as Golden Globes host

After her well-received stint this year, Glaser will take the burden of finding a new host away from the Golden Globes.

Nikki Glaser to return as Golden Globes host

Congrats to Dick Clark Productions, which somehow managed to land the Golden Globes its very own fledgeling Jimmy Kimmel. Following in the four-time Oscar host’s footsteps, Glaser will return again next year for her second stint as emcee of the messiest award show in town. The comedian and Tom Brady roaster is a real get for the organization, even beyond her very well-received performance of the thankless task this year. No one wanted to host this thing previously (especially after Jo Koy’s disastrous attempt in 2024), much less more than once.

Glaser is just built different (and apparently has more access to pope hats than previous hosts. Who wouldn’t want to wear the pope hat?). “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” she said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Dick Clark Productions also invested a lot in Glaser’s success behind the mic. Deadline reports that she was paid a little over $400,000 for her stint this year (making her the first woman to ever host the ceremony solo, by the way), with that number set to rise “significantly” on a repeat performance. In addition to the nice check, the show reportedly spent more on Glaser’s glammed-out looks and expanded joke writing team than any previous Globes emcee. “It was an investment in Nikki as a long term solo host,” Deadline‘s insider commented. “Worked out well for everyone, I’d say.”
