Nikki Glaser will be a three-peat Golden Globes host on "See BS News"

Following two well-received turns at bat, Nikki Glaser’s forked tongue will mock Hollywood’s elite at the Golden Globes for a third time.

Nikki Glaser will be a three-peat Golden Globes host on

Determined to never hear the stunned silence of a Jo Koy monologue again, the Golden Globes is sticking with what works. Earlier today, the Globes announced that Nikki Glaser will continue her just-mean-enough hot streak for a third time as the host of the 2027 Golden Globes. Should the world continue spinning and the Globes not descend into another huge, embarrassing controversy, Glaser will take the stage to bite the hand that feeds her on January 10, 2027.

Prior to Glaser, the Golden Globes were in a state of perpetual reinvention, not least of all because their members were accused of overwhelming racism and corruption. Not helping things was Ricky Gervais, who emerged after more than a decade of hostless shows, as the Hollywood court jester brave enough to get on stage and plead, “They’re just jokes, people,” to his unamused audience. Over the 2010s, hosting duties bounced between Gervais and SNL stars, particularly Amy Poehler and Tina Fey—plus one Sandra Oh year—which helped soften the ceremony’s power. As it emerged from the pandemic, MeToo, and the brief moment when Hollywood demanded more from its award shows, the Globes went through a total reinvention. They tried funny, bringing in Jerrod Carmichael to ask about the well-being and whereabouts of Shelly Miscavige. Then they tried silence, with Jo Koy. Finally, they returned to what works: Funny, asking Nikki Glaser to host the past three ceremonies.

Somehow, the Golden Globes return on January 10, 2027.
