P-Valley prepares its last dance with first-look photos and final season teaser

Go get your singles now because dancers at The Pynk are choosing their final songs. P-Valley, the acclaimed series based on the play by showrunner and Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall, returns for its third and final season this December. Following the dancers at Chucalissa, Mississippi’s most infamous strip club, The Pynk, P-Valley has turned the on- and off-stage exploits of its vibrant cast into one of television’s most acclaimed and popular shows. In the past few years, P-Valley has risen to the top of Starz’s offerings, becoming the network’s best-performing original series in its last season. But all good things must come to an end as the show prepares for its last dance. With season three, The Pynk is turning up the heat in Chucalissa, and the drama as television’s only Delta Noir about exotic dancers gambles with a dangerous new element.

Here’s the synopsis from Starz:

When the newly opened Promised Land Casino floods Chucalissa with scrilla, our hometown heroes learn that mo’ money does indeed bring mo’ mayhem. Dreamers, schemers, ballers, and shot-callers alike come from far and wide for a dance with chance – but are they willing to put their souls on the line for a legendary bag? Back at The Pynk, Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan) dreams of expanding her empire while Roulette (Gail Bean) breaks the club’s cardinal rule to build hers. As Lil’ Murda’s (J. Alphonse Nicholson) gang ties threaten to clip his wings, a caged Keyshawn (Shannon Thornton) fights to break free and take flight. The house might play with weighted dice, but the hustle always wins.

The nine-episode final season kicks off with a two-part premiere on December 5.
