Patton Oswalt thinks we’re on the brink of Annihilation in new stand-up trailer
Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste
Netflix has released the first trailer for Patton Oswalt’s new stand-up special which, having been filmed after the 2017 inauguration, is naturally titled Annihilation. In the clip, Oswalt traces our country’s regression after electing the first black president, musing that we couldn’t follow up a competent presidency with another, which is why a racist “scrotum” is now in the Oval Office. The comedian also tackles that most pressing of national issues—“white genocide,” which some people actually believe is a thing.
Patton Oswalt: Annihilation was filmed at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago, which you might recognize as one of the stops on The A.V. Club’s fourth annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival. It premieres October 17 on Netflix.
