Patty Jenkins doesn’t think her Wonder Woman is a “mess”
On Friday a vicious open letter from a self-proclaimed former employee of Warner Bros. and published at Pajiba made the rounds. It covers the author’s frustration with the studio’s insistence on fucking up DC properties in the wake of 2014 layoffs. Mostly the information is not groundbreaking. (“Zack Snyder is not delivering.” Tell us something we don’t know.) However, it also raised eyebrows for implying that Wonder Woman might not be a franchise-saver. “People inside are already confirming it’s another mess,” the writer reveals. “It is almost impressive how you keep rewarding the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over.” This rankled Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, who obviously doesn’t think her own movie is headed for disaster. She used a series of tweets to combat the allegations.
