Prawn vows to keep swimming on its new track

Earlier this year, Prawn was featured on a four-way split released via Fair Weather Records. Of its two tracks, “Laki” spawned a video that saw the band take to the beach and have a little fun, a somewhat subtle counterpoint to its often aching music. On its sophomore album Kingfisher–released through Topshelf Records this coming August–the band kept that positivity flowing, making its most optimistic album yet. The A.V. Club is premiering “Glass, Irony” below, a track from Kingfisher that sees vocalist Tony Clark vow to keep on swimming, an uplifting sentiment from a band that’s unafraid to let its emo influences take hold.

Pre-orders for Kingfisher can be found via Topshelf.
