For the busy cinephile who doesn’t have time to sit through all the nominees before the Oscars are handed out on February 22, Cineplex Movies has put together a supercut of scenes from all of the various films nominated for Academy Awards this year. The montage is not just relegated to Best Picture nominees, but extends to those vying for acting awards, best animated film awards, and pretty much every other category that can be crammed into two minutes and 46 seconds. There’s lots of emotion packed within those few scant minutes, however, making this a great reminder of the amount of talent from which Academy voters have to choose. Now elongate it to several hours intercut with snarky bits and staged repartee, and you’ve got yourself an Oscar telecast!
