Reminder: The Wrestler's Cruel Study discussion begins in one week
Hey, Wrapped Up In Books participants. If you haven't picked up your copy of Stephen Dobyns' The Wrestler's Cruel Study yet, you're missing out on a terrific weirdo read full of talking gorillas, modern-day twists on old fairy tales, crazed philosophical gang wars, and outsized battles between the avatars of good and evil. It's a really fun book, and we'll be discussing it in this space starting a week from now, on Monday, March 29. There's still time for you to catch up.
And as a reminder, April's book is Russell Hoban's post-apocalyptic novel Riddley Walker. Staffer Emily Withrow (who joins us in Wrapped Up In Books this month) reports that it's on back-order on Amazon and Borders (though Barnes and Noble seems to have it for immediate shipping), so you last-minute types might need to plan further ahead on this one. Used-book searches like half.com, abebooks.com, and bookfinder.com are showing plenty of cheap copies, starting as low as 75 cents, so this would be a good time to snap one up. See you in a week!
