"Squirt yurts" and a sexy John Goodman: Thank God the Gemstones are almost back

Also featured in the official trailer for Righteous Gemstones's final season: Jetpacks, pole dancing, and the best Walton Goggins clip art we've ever seen.

Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste

In case anyone was worried that HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones might be easing off on its vibe of overwhelming Christian excess with its final season—and missed the teaser that revealed the existence of Uncle Baby Billy’s TeenJus, a show we dearly wish we could actually watch—please let the following full trailer for the show’s fourth and final season disabuse you of that notion. The Gemstones are nearly back, and they’re as fucked up as ever, thank God.

As with the previous teaser, much of the focus here is on John Goodman’s Eli, whose retirement from patriarch duties has not only involved growing his hair out, but apparently bulking up his love life (presumably courtesy of Megan Mullally’s character, who appears briefly in the trailer.) But while Gemstones has never neglected the human side of its various characters, and especially Eli’s grief, the people putting the teaser together also know why you’re really watching: Tim Baltz pole dancing, Gemstones with jetpacks, and, of course, the revelation that Jesse Gemstone (Danny McBride) has launched a line of rentable “Prayer Pods” that have become so popular among the masturbatory set that they’re now known as “Squirt Yurts” on Reddit. (Also, this isn’t hugely important, but apparently the Pods also allow you to play your own game of Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers while you’re in them, and we’re going to be looking at this clip art Walton Goggins for the rest of the day.)

The Righteous Gemstones returns for its final season on March 9.
