Robert Duvall joins Steve McQueen’s Widows
For a film that’s been billing itself as a female-led crime caper, Steve McQueen’s upcoming thriller Widows is going all-out when it comes to its male co-stars. Deadline reports that Robert Duvall has just joined the XY half of the heist movie’s cast, which also includes Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluyaa, and Moonlight’s André Holland. They’ll star as the friends and husbands of Michelle Rodriguez, Viola Davis, and Elizabeth Debicki, who play a team of women who plan to carry out a robbery abandoned when their husbands are killed.
