Never one to believe that some things shouldn’t be made embarrassingly public, Robin Thicke promoted his new stalker musical Paula by opening himself up to a live Twitter Q&A. “Have a burning question for @robinthicke? Submit your ?s for tomorrow’s Twitter Q+A using #AskThicke,” VH1 tweeted yesterday, and as it turns out, plenty of people did have ?s. And indeed, they burned.
Of course, after months of “Blurred Lines” being called out for lyrics that make it the song version of Jodie Foster in The Accused, his irritating performance with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs, his preemptive lawsuit against Marvin Gaye’s family over a song he admitted up front he had borrowed from, his ugly separation from wife Paula Patton amid accusations of years of infidelity, and his even uglier subsequent attempt to win her back with an album dedicated entirely to making her (and everyone else) feel uncomfortable on an international stage, one would think that Robin Thicke had had enough.
But Thicke’s a good boy, and the way he grabbed Twitter, it knew he must wanna get nasty. And so it went ahead and got at him, to the point where any sincere question on the #AskThicke feed was entirely crowded out by tweets like these.
