Royal Psalms dig deep in new video
Brooklyn’s Royal Psalms features a who’s-who of New York’s melodic hardcore scene. Made up of past and present members of bands like Aficionado, Crime In Stereo, and Daytrader, the four-piece recently released its debut EP, I Could Have Been Anything, which trades in that hardcore pedigree for riffs full of straight-ahead hooks. The A.V. Club is premiering the video for “Dig,” a standout from I Could Have Been Anything, that sees Royal Psalms meld psychedelic imagery with its pop-rock influences, making for a video that’s equally digestible and abstract.
Pre-orders for I Could Have Been Anything are available now.
