Netflix and Baz Luhrmann’s hip-hop history series The Get Down is supposedly one of the most expensive undertakings the streaming service has ever attempted, so it’s presumably very important to Netflix that everyone knows when the show is coming back for its second season. Today, Netflix announced the premiere date of that new season with a brief-but-energetic teaser that reveals The Get Down will return on April 7, and though the teaser doesn’t really convey any new information about the upcoming season, it does have a lot of dancing and one very cool handshake.
That might not justify the show’s purported $16 million-per-episode price tag, but hopefully the full season will.
