Shailene Woodley up for Mary Jane in the Spider-Man sequel that will start looking more like the other Spider-Man now
No sooner had The Secret Life Of The American Teenager star Shailene Woodley been rescued from the certain death that is sex outside the bonds of marriage than she possibly landed a far safer occupation—that of The Amazing Spider-Man's oft-imperiled occasional girlfriend Mary Jane Watson. Variety reports that Woodley is in talks to get a lot of hair dye and join the franchise's next, Marc Webb-directed installment, presumably setting up the day when she will replace Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy, whom Stone can't wait to see die. It also, of course, sets up Webb's reboot to begin more closely mirroring Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy—a path possibly made even more obvious by the studio's search for someone to play Harry Osborn who isn't James Franco (or even James Franco's "James Franco").
