Sherlock creators chart a carriage to Transylvania for Dracula series with Netflix and the BBC
Vampires remain wildly popular in culture, be they animated, ultra-hip, or of the non-fanged variety. The OG Dracula, however, has less currency, his “I vant to suck yur blood!” schtick feeling outdated in this age of horror reinvention. Of course, people felt the same about Sherlock Holmes before Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat reinvented him with Benedict Cumberbatch at the helm. Now, with the help of Netflix and the BBC, the pair is officially sinking their fangs into a take of their own, Variety reports.
