South Park guys issue rare, apparently genuine apology for not getting their Kendrick Lamar movie done yet
Matt Stone and Trey Parker issued a statement on Wednesday taking "full responsibility" for not finishing their Kendrick collab Whitney Springs yet.
We’ve been keeping tabs on Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s Whitney Springs for a couple of years at this point, as the musical project—which also reportedly sports original music from producer Kendrick Lamar, and a script from Wonder Showzen and South Park veteran Vernon Chatman—continues to get bounced further and further back on the Paramount calendar every single year. (We last wrote about it last November, when the live-action film was bumped from a hypothetical March 2026 release to not appearing on the studio’s schedule at all.) Now, Stone and Parker have taken a pretty rare step for the South Park duo, and issued an apparently genuine apology for not getting the movie done just yet.
