Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has a new, complicated ending
Julie Taymor’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has a brand-new finale, at last giving some sense of purpose to these past few months of growing pains and other, more debilitating injuries. The new sequence is described as a “technically ambitious” improvement on the underwhelming original that’s been playing for preview audiences, adding a complicated flying sequence that involves Spider-Man flying around the theater in “a triumphant manner,” as one would do when they’ve successfully survived another day on Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. It also ends in a “moment that will be familiar to Spider-Man fans around the world”—which we’re guessing means the old upside-down kiss. Romantic! Also, paralyzing.
