Steve Carell gets an extra 20 minutes on The Office
Steve Carell just got a little more time to milk his goodbye, as NBC has announced that the April 28 episode of The Office—the one where Michael Scott finally makes the exit that we’ve been discussing for what feels like two years now—will now run for 50 minutes, which should give the show ample time to fit in at least two more celebrity cameos. For example, we’ve yet to hear anything about Paul Rudd, which seems like a glaring oversight. Anyway, the time shift actually works in everyone’s favor: It sets things up for a 40-minute Parks And Recreation (whose producers simply added back in some deleted scenes) and pushes 30 Rock into the 10:30 p.m. ET slot, meaning there will be no Outsourced that night.
