The biggies
The Institute (MGM+, Sunday, 9 p.m.)
Ben Barnes leads The Institute, a sci-fi horror drama based on Stephen King’s 2019 novel. He plays a former cop who moves to a small Maine town (obviously) and investigates the mysterious activities of a seemingly abandoned nearby lab. Meanwhile, a group of teens being experimented there strive to escape. Check out The A.V. Club‘s review.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount+, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew embark on more galactic adventures in a new round of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Picking up after the season two finale, Pike saves those trapped on the Gorn ship and makes plans to defeat a common enemy. Rhys Darby joins the cast for season three, which will debut with two episodes. The A.V. Club will recap the show weekly.
Untamed (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
