“Storytime” is pop culture rendered into Little Golden Books
New York artist Joey Spiotto premiered his “Storytime” gallery in Los Angeles last week at Gallery1988 (East) with a simple yet satisfying premise: render movies, television, video games, and music into art for Little Golden Books. The result is expectedly adorable, with everyone from Daft Punk to Daniel Plainview turned into a rounded cartoon with rosy cheeks. A few examples are below, and almost all the prints are for sale here (if not already sold out).
