Susan Sarandon, Hannah Einbinder arrested while protesting Netanyahu's UN trip 

Both Einbinder and Sarandon have been fierce critics of Israel’s war on Gaza, which a UN Commission deemed a genocide last year. About a month ago, the Camp Miasma star came to the defense of fellow pro-Palestine actor Mark Ruffalo, who found himself in hot water with Paramount after he linked the studio’s merger backers to “really profoundly scary” AI weaponry used by the IDF. Meanwhile, in early September, Sarandon claimed her activism against Israel’s genocide has cost her work. “I’ve still had movies taken away recently, because there are agencies that are telling people not to hire me still,” she said at the Venice Film Festival. As of this writing, more than 74,000 Palestinians, including more than 20,000 children, have been killed since Israel began its bombardment in 2023.
