Centuries from now, alien historians will scour the blackened, radioactive mainframes we left behind in pursuit of our greatest discoveries and passions, but will eventually find themselves asking, “Wait, what color is this dress? What did scientists say about it? What would happen if somebody tried to recreate it? Wait, these strawberries are weird, too.”
Their greatest discovery will be that, in lieu of a clear answer, humans will create one and rage at anyone who disagrees, which, frankly, isn’t the worst takeaway. It makes one long for the days of Magic Eye posters, when humanity came together to find the dinosaur hiding in the pink and orange swirl. And while those are so 1997, nature will occasionally bring us together in a similar fashion.
Take the picture below, for instance. It was tweeted by snake biologist Helen Plyar, an expert in all things snake, who invited followers to find the snake hidden amongst the leaves.

According to BuzzFeed, the snake is a copperhead, a species with a body that blends right in with the foliage on display here. Horrifying? Sure. But, hey, at least we’re not arguing about what color the snake is.
