Jason Statham is back as a badass with a soft spot for beekeeping in the first official teaser trailer for The Beekeeper 2. In the sequel, Statham’s Adam Clay learns that the Beekeepers organization has gone rogue and is trying to seize complete control of the government, and he’s the only one who can stop them. The teaser promises more cheesy bee references and puns. Case in point: Adam gets a sporty new car, a 1969 Dodge Super Bee that’s “fully loaded with stinger,” and in another scene, after shoving a flamethrower into a bad guy’s mouth, he says, “Next time, don’t be so hotheaded.” The official synopsis for The Beekeeper 2 reads: “Jason Statham is back as Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2. Pulled back into the fight when the Beekeeper organization goes rogue and sets its sights on controlling the government, Clay must take on the very group that made him.”
