The Dillinger Escape Plan releases new track, “Symptom Of Terminal Illness”

If you’re a fan of The Dillinger Escape Plan, any newly released track off their forthcoming album Dissociation has got to be bittersweet. Ben Weinman (the last founding member still involved with TDEP) maintains that, after two decades and five previous studio albums, this will be the band’s last album. So, each new song represents one fewer in an ever-dwindling finite pool of new material from the mathcore pioneers. On the other hand: new music!
Here’s “Symptom Of Terminal Illness,” the second single from their ultimate album, courtesy of Pitchfork. It’s kind of a departure from the dissonant rhythmic cacophony with which we’ve grown familiar.
Dissociation will be available everywhere on October 14. The Dillinger Escape Plan will be touring the new music at least through the middle of November.
