The Simpsons to enter the hypothetical third dimension again in new theatrical short
In what should be obvious to even the most dimwitted individual who holds an advanced degree in hyperbolic topology, The Simpsons have once again entered the third dimension, extending along the hypothetical Z-axis to star in the new 3-D short The Longest Daycare. The four-and-a-half minute film—the TV clan's first return to the big screen since 2007's The Simpsons Movie—debuts before next week's Ice Age: Continental Drift, and Entertainment Weekly has the first preview here, rightly billed as "the summer's shortest trailer." Still, even its mere five seconds are plenty to get the basic gist of the dialogue-free film, in which Maggie returns to the Ayn Rand School for Tots and engages in a struggle to assert her individuality against the threat of her arch-rival, Baby Gerald, that is likely more captivating and edifying than any given passage of Atlas Shrugged, even though it's just two babies hitting each other.
