It’s been noted that the Trump administration—and, prior to that, the Trump campaign—seemed invulnerable to scandal, seemingly piling outrage on outrage without anything quite sticking. That has changed with Michael Flynn’s resignation, which is doggedly remaining in the news cycle and gaining steam and attention as it goes. Its viability as a basis for impeaching Trump remains small, although given that he is an oafish, senile ass defined by failures and surrounded by incompetent trolls, something, sooner or later, will stick. The staggering quantities of people who did not vote for him and currently disapprove of him have used the Flynn scandal as a means to envision his nightmarish presidency coming to an end.
