“I need a helmet and an adult diaper because I am about to shit my pants and my head is gonna explode.” And thus begins Eric Nam’s foray into Traitor-dom. This week’s The Traitors picks up with Nam’s knee-buckling reaction to the reveal that castle golden boy Rob Rausch has been dangerously duplicitous these last six weeks. (Rausch’s fittingly laconic response? “Sup, player?”)
Faced with certain death, Nam unsurprisingly decides to join forces with Rob and agrees to the recruitment—though he is rightfully worried that Rob will do as Rob does snake-charm his way to a solo win at Eric’s expense—but is horrified to learn that, immediately upon getting cloaked by Rob, the two Traitors have to climb up to the turret and murder one of the remaining players.
There are only three more roundtables, Rob reasons, and only two where he can utilize his dagger advantage, so they have to play smart here. It’s between Natalie Anderson, a considerable threat; Stephen Colletti, a well-liked decoy; or Dorinda Medley, Rob’s biggest fan. The fellas end up choosing Dorinda, seemingly to get the scent off Rob. “The queen’s gotta get back to Bluestone Manor!” the Housewife declares after reading her murder missive in full-length gloves and a misguided Scottish brogue. We’ll miss you Medley. You made it nice!
It’s a surprise that rings out throughout castle breakfast the next morning (“What the f*** did she do?!” Kristen Kish wonders about Dorinda’s out-of-nowhere death), no more so than for Stephen, who so believed it was his time that his bags were fully packed and ready. Such pronouncements earn the suspicion of Natalie, who reads his morningtime behavior as false: “I think I need to start looking closer and not take everything for face value.” Elsewhere, Eric is trying to dull the nerves of his first post-murder breakfast by stress-shoveling croissants down his throat.
