The X-Files cast is reuniting for a new audiobook
Fox’s X-Files revival last year was pretty disappointing—save for an appearance from the Were-Monster—but it’s hard to deny that it’s still fun to see David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Hopefully it’s just as fun to hear them reprise those roles, because Audible Studios has just announced a new audiobook project called The X-Files: Cold Cases that will feature the voices of not only Duchovny and Anderson, but also Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man, plus Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood as the Lone Gunmen. Here’s a teaser, courtesy of Audible:
The audio drama will be based on the graphic novels by Joe Harris, and it takes place in between the X-Files: I Want To Believe movie and the recent TV revival. The plot concerns someone hacking into an FBI database and uncovering unsolved cases from the X-Files department, prompting key figures from the original series to step out of the shadows and dip back into the thrilling world of government conspiracies and alien invasions.
The X-Files: Cold Cases will be available on July 18. You can also preorder Cold Cases at this link.
