Thee Oh Sees change their name just in time for a new album and single
It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who’s been following the band’s consistently solid annual garage-rock releases that Thee Oh Sees have announced their next album, Orc, will be landing on August 25. More surprising is that after nine years of putting out music and gaining popularity as Thee Oh Sees, John Dwyer, the project’s mastermind, has dropped the “Thee” from the group’s name. It is now to be known simply as Oh Sees. Dwyer has also gone ahead and shared “The Static God,” the first new song off Orc and the group’s first release under the new moniker:
