Tim And Eric musical side project Heidecker & Wood releases Christmas song—for the children
Although Kanye West’s beef with Dipset has apparently been squashed, his rivalry with Tim And Eric that we just made up is still going strong: Hot on the heels of Kanye's “Christmas In Harlem” comes “Christmas Suite,” a bonus Christmas track from Tim Heidecker’s musical side project with show composer Davin Wood, Heidecker & Wood. As a seasonally appropriate prelude to the duo’s debut album, Starting From Nowhere (due out March 15), H&W have leaked this bonus track, which takes the group’s ersatz tribute to ’70s groups like Steely Dan and Seals And Crofts and applies it to sentiments about children being the “key to the universe” and so on. Unlike Kanye’s innuendo-laden Hickory Farms Dick Joke Sampler, “Christmas Suite” takes a more maudlin turn, urging you to cease your revelry long enough to consider the plight of poor children without any money, and declaring, “We’re not caroling without any children / That ain’t Christmas to me.” [via Twitter]
