As a founding member of the Brooklyn-based art collective The Epoch, Felix Walworth has their hands in plenty of different projects. As a member of Eskimeaux, Florist, and Bellows, Walworth is involved in more musical projects than you can shake a stick at. Then there’s Told Slant, Walworth’s solo-ish project that, on June 17, will release Going By on Double Double Whammy Records. The A.V. Club is premiering “High Dirge” below, which highlights Walworth’s ability to craft simple, heartbreaking songs. It‘s a track built around a few gently plucked chords and Walworth’s forlorn vocals lamenting the passage of time, and with each phrase sounds like an aching plea to the universe.

Going By is available for pre-order now though Double Double Whammy.
