Tracy Morgan may never perform again
Doctors are unsure of whether Tracy Morgan will ever be able to return to the stage. The actor and comedian suffered brain injuries during a car crash back in June, which injured two other passengers and killed comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. According to Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, the 30 Rock star has been undergoing extensive physical and mental rehabilitation to improve his speech and cognitive capabilities, but it’s unclear whether he’ll ever act or perform stand-up again.
“The jury’s still out. The doctors don’t know the answer. I don’t know the answer,” Morelli said, before turning his ire on Walmart, whom Morgan is suing for its role in the accident. The crash occurred on June 7, when one of the retailer’s trucks struck the limo bus Morgan and his friends were traveling in on the New Jersey Turnpike, causing the vehicle to flip. Recently, the company defended itself against charges of negligence by arguing that Morgan and his fellow passengers’ failure to wear seatbelts contributed to their injuries.
