NBC News stands by Kristen Welker after Trump directs FCC to punish her
The Meet The Press host had said that the President's endorsements achieved "mixed results."

It’s hardly surprising at this point that President Trump would direct the United States government to go after his enemies in the media—the whole Jimmy Kimmel mishegoss was less than a year ago—but his recent verbal attack on NBC News’ Kristen Welker certainly has to rank among the pettiest examples of this. During this weekend’s Meet The Press, Welker observed that Trump’s endorsements of Republican candidates has received “some mixed results.” As USA Today points out, Trump’s endorsements have largely won, but there have been a few high-profile losses. Now, we could debate what success-to-failure ratio counts as “mixed results,” but we are well past that point.
